O ‘Stree’, Aaj hi dekhna – Let’s talk movie

After a long time, you will get to see a good humor with good horror. Believe me, this time horror is not creating humor, it’s the humor that goes hand-in-hand with horror. Tight script, which will keep you thrilled and the next moment, you will laugh.
Rajkumar Rao is again at his best. Character-wise, he gets to explore more in the second half. His friends, played by, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, deserve a big applause. Their comedy timing and natural acting keep you stick to the seat. Pankaj Tripathi, though shares less screen space, leaves a good impact with his witty comedy. He also gets to explore more in the second half. Shraddha Kapoor, the mysterious girl, does well with her character.
The first half involves story built-up and second half drives it forward. Writers, Sumit Arora, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., have made sure to keep it simple and realistic. Background score for creating horror is very catchy, has a touch of devotion with fear(hear it and you will notice).
Climax delivers you twists, which is left up to the audience to think. At points, you may find some loose ends but that’s alright until you are kept engaged. One of the unique things I found interesting in this movie is the ‘Comedy And Romance with the ghost’. Believe me, you will love this when Rajkumar Rao does it. That is one of the reasons I said, it’s a good hand-in-hand horror comedy.
And the message that the director, Amar Kaushik, delivers about respecting women, without actually being preachy and merging the context with required elements, is appreciable.
Go with your friends and family, and watch it for a good and healthy entertainment with humor and horror.
