Convention Center at Virar: Portfolio
Semester 5 opened to us with many surprises. The major challenge given to us was a contour site! I had no first hand experience to plan on a contour site, so the studio began with several researches, workshops and case studies to understand sloping surfaces and how to tackle them. The project was a Convention center with built in huge exhibition halls and hotel accommodation at Virar, a suburb of Mumbai.
I tried my hand in digital rendering of all drawings with linework made in autocad, modelling in sketchup and rendering in Lumion as well as Vray. The final post production was done in Adobe Photoshop. It took me a week to complete the renderings of all drawings. A tough time though!
